PhD Candidate for the FP-7 EU Project: “Low-cost highly conductive high resolution structures for flexible large area electronics by high throughput low temperature processing (LOTUS)” : Laboratory of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry, University of Jena, Germany.

Within the European FP-7 project “LOTUS” this research will focus on the scaling up of a selective sintering process that will be used for roll-2-roll plastic electronics applications. Microwave and plasma sintering are two techniques that are currently only available on lab-scale.
It will be the task to implement this in a real production line, which can produce in the end (flexible) products like organic light emitting diodes (OLED), radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and photovoltaic devices (solar cells).

The LOTUS consortium consists of 10 companies, research institutes and universities from five different European countries. Cooperation takes place with various partners. Furthermore, (international) project meetings and conferences will take place on a regular basis.

Please send in your curriculum vitae together with a motivation letter to inform us about your background, motives, what your input will be to the group and what you want to pursue in your career. Please also include the requisition number and reference letter(s) from your supervisor(s).
