Jena is offering some accommodation options to its residents both inside and outside the city. The city is full of classical German apartments, offering flats in all sizes for single people and new comers with families. The University of Jena is able to offer foreign scientists, guests and scholars accommodation in three guesthouses. These guesthouses are generally for short term stays. In the meantime checking ads on the local newspapers, TLZ or OTZ, as well as the Allgemeiner Anzeiger, especially in their Saturday editions, or placing your own ad on noticeboards and newspapers are useful.
